How are you going to convince somebody that He really is the Messiah? Left to herself, the Church was in a mess with no way to pass this thing on that we’ve experienced for the past two thousand years except… Something happened.

Now, you’ve got to get the picture. All of us are going to work tomorrow and our mission is to convince people that ‘this guy’ that died as a criminal on a cross was the Messiah. How convincing could you be? As I said… Some of you, who’ve now met him and know he’s alive… You can’t tell the story, today. Think about it. This new church that emerged out of the Upper Room did not perish. It is a real miracle. Something happened!

I gave you two great events. This was really the second great event that affected mankind and is still having an effect right now. It’s what Jesus promised would come. John 14:16-17 is the promise that he gave in John’s Gospel. It says, “I will ask the Father and He will give you another comforter (counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby), that He may remain with you forever. The Spirit of truth is coming whom the world cannot receive.” The world can’t have what you have. The world can’t receive the Holy Spirit but you can deliver the evidence of the Holy Spirit.

He said to them, “Welcome, take to its heart, because it does not see him or know him or recognize him (the world can’t) but you know and recognize him for he lives with you constantly.” And then it says, “And He will be in you.” That gets overlooked. Jesus said, “The Holy Ghost is with you right now.” Because, he had breathed pneuma over the disciples already. He said it was evident that the Spirit of God was with them. Like he was with Samson. Like he was with Noah. Like he was with Abraham. Like he was with Daniel. Like he was with so many in the Bible. But, he was not in them. It’s all going to change, now…
